Holiday Review – Byron Bay N.S.W

(Not sponsored we just love it and thought you might too)

We just got back from our favourite place to be, Byron Bay. We spent a week there, and I thought I would share this with you, as we personally love it and so do the kids. I have been coming here for many years, I even got married here so it is close to my heart and a perfect family holiday everyone enjoys.

Planning the trip before I arrive is something I always do, as you know – I am a planner so this makes me feel more organised, and allows me to enjoy the trip as soon as I arrive.. Therefore one of the things I always do is an online shop at Coles http://shop.coles.com.au/online having it arrive the day we do, so we can literally unpack and start enjoying the stay.

As we still have baby  and need cot, pram, high chair etc... I prefer to hire all my baby items rather than lugging it all with us – I hire things through http://www.byronbayholidayhire.com.au/ I have hired through them for the past 7 years now, they are fantastic and affordable.

I recommend flying directly into Ballina airport, as it is much closer 20 minutes and lately flights are cheaper than flying into the Gold Coast.

We stayed at Byron Bay Luxury Beach Houses http://www.byronluxurybeachhouses.com.au/ they are great houses, with a pool and deck the kids love, I also recommend all the properties at Beach houses of Byron http://www.beachhousesofbyron.com.au/ they will look after anyone that books through them with a discount if you mention us www.kidsfavouritedinners.com

What to do with the kids:

The Farm

This has recently opened, and I have been super excited to check it out – I was not disappointed, they have thought of everything and their philosophy I love – to ‘Grow-Feed-Educate’ there is a fabulous kids play area, with tractor my son loved, and a swing set that had three across (perfect for us! No fighting over who swings first YES!) We booked our older two into The Farm KIDS program where they learnt about bees, got an up close and personal farm tour, made honey candles and pancakes, best part was we got to have breakfast with our little one and the food was SENSATIONAL she was super pleased with her scrambled eggs. http://www.thefarmbyronbay.com.au/the-farm Great place, highly recommend.

The Lighthouse

You can’t go to Byron and not take the family up to the lighthouse to spot some whales, and dolphins. We love it here the views are amazing, and the lighthouse museum is pretty cool too.

Dolphin Kayak

One of the best experiences you can do, is to get the kids out on the kayaks and see Dolphins up close and personal, it is an amazing thing to see, kids absolutely loved it, and I was super proud how into it they were. We booked through http://www.goseakayakbyronbay.com.au/

Circus Arts

Saved this for a cold miserable day as it is indoors, located in the industrial estate it is great as it is like a play centre with jumping caste, and rock climbing wall as well as a Flying trapeze and Circus classes. They can literally do it all while you relax with a coffee, which I love.

SO there you have it a few things to do in one of our FAVOURITE places to go.

We hope you love it as much as we do,

Chill out
